Operations Manager – Advanced Manufacturing
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to lead and support our growing manufacturing site. This is a critical role in managing day-to-day operations, meeting customer requirements, and ensuring full accountability for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people.
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing resources across production, maintenance, supply chain, and planning. You will also drive customer satisfaction through continuous improvement in the manufacturing of complex turned and milled components, utilizing modern manufacturing principles, including 5-axis CNC machining.
Key Responsibilities:
- People Management: Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing team to support growth and operational excellence.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
- SQCDP Focus: Ensure excellence in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People metrics.
- Objective Setting & Performance Assessment: Set clear objectives, monitor progress, and identify skill gaps to maintain high performance.
- Business Operations Optimization: Enhance operational efficiency to maximize resource utilization and reduce waste.
- Best Practices Implementation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate operational performance.
- Production & Supply Chain Management: Ensure production meets customer specifications and delivery timelines.
- Process Improvement: Focus on enhancing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and streamlining processes.
- Performance Reviews & Analysis: Conduct reviews, manage non-conformance, and lead risk assessments.
- Resource Management: Deploy appropriate technical skill sets and resources to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Significant leadership experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.
- Aerospace experience is highly desirable.
- Background in a plant or manufacturing environment with a focus on operational excellence.
- Manufacturing/Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications are preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of P&L, procurement/supply chain, and industry regulations.
- Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning, Kaizen, lean manufacturing, and ERP/MRP systems is essential.
