Meet our team: Kerry McFarlane
Principal Consultant, Glasgow
What brought you to Denholm?
When I started looking into agencies I wanted to work for, everyone I spoke to (clients and candidates) had only good things to say about Denholm, they have a fantastic reputation. Also, my good friend Fiona Todd told me what a fantastic company it is to work for.
What do you specialise in?
Whatever my clients want! I look after professional services and STEM clients in the most part.
What are your career highlights?
I am very competitive, in 2017 I was the top performer in my region (which was quite a big region) I was really pleased with this. Also, being nominated for S1 Awards best recruiter in 2018.
My real career highlights are when I do a really good job for a client, they are happy with the service they received. It is really important to me that I do a great job for my clients and candidates and have a good reputation in the market.
Away from work, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Walk my dogs (I have 2 huskies), eat far too much Asian food, drink far too much wine. I also love watching football.
Tell us something not many people know about you.
I am from the Highlands, and used to be fluent in Gaelic. I haven’t used it much in the last 10 years so I’m not so great anymore!
Latest guilty pleasure?
Coconut flat whites. Who knew how much better they were than a regular? I can’t believe I have gone through my whole life/ coffee addiction without this in my life.
Who is your ‘must follow’ on social?
I am so uncool on social, I follow a lot of footballers, politicians and food bloggers. ChriseatsGlasgow is one of my favourites.
What was the last book you read and last film/boxset you watched?
Power was the last boxset, I’m keeping my fingers crossed they make another season. Watched the full season in a weekend, I couldn’t stop watching it!
